Principles
Most of what we run handles money and contracts. That sets the standard.
The team that writes the code also runs it in production. There is no handover to someone who has never seen the system.
Contracts, commissions and settlements have to reconcile. We would rather ship one correct calculation than five approximate ones.
Every system is documented and structured so that another team could take it over. Dependence on us is not a business model.
Our systems are in daily production use for years, not for the length of a project budget.
