Principles
Much of what we run handles money, contracts and other people's customers. That sets the standard.
The team that writes the code also runs it in production. There is no handover to someone who has never seen the system.
Where figures have to reconcile, they reconcile. We would rather ship one correct calculation than five approximate ones.
Every system is documented and structured so that another team could take it over. Dependence on us is not a business model.
